As an actor Koffi stands out as a humorous pain in the act. Acting started officially in 1998 but blossomed to a very professional level in the millennium year 2000 with his appearance as the lead in Bunmi Davies “His wife the waif – Iyawo or Iyawo”. A stage play that scored so much success it had to run for 3 years. Having got enough training and experience from Theatre 15 Unilag, he propelled to the next stage by featuring in numerous stage plays for 5 years before concentrating fully on stand up comedy.
In 2002 the opportunity chose him to be part of Cypress Associates [run by Messrs Kayode Peters & Abiola Aloba, but now defunct] “Twilight Zone” wherein he appeared as the comic village boy character “Dauda”. As Dauda, Koffi was a household icon but the sitcom was soon rested and all had to move on, including himself. Afterwards Koffi has been fortunate enough to appear in Mainframe productions “Campus Queen” as martins – the campus clown and master spokesman. He also had a little appearance in Basorge Tariah Jnr’s “my guy” part 2, of which he contributed some writing and typing. Koffi in 2005 appeared in the family sitcom “Fuji house of commotion” as the “special (But Naughty) Teacher”.
In the fall of 2007 his movie-2 BLACKBIRDS, written by Koffi, and co-starring Owengee and other numerous clowns, directed by Koffi, executively produced by Koffi [after all that’s how it goes in Nollywood when you are starting out] earned various acclaims and awards for going out of the ordinary and setting records for the home video industry.
Right now the comedian just finished work on another movie-MUMU, the foolish foolishness fool, written by Koffi, and co-starring Owengee and Victor Osuagwu. Release date is yet to be known, as the movie will first be showing at the cinemas.
